Half day NVC Workshop in Oakland CA
Growing Compassion and Acceptance for Ourselves and Others
A half-day workshop and explore practical ways to:
-Befriend and find value in any part of ourselves
-Transform thoughts and beliefs that get in our way
-Increase our capacity to connect with others
We live in a world and times that are hard in many ways; from what’s going on within and around us, to the systems that affect everyone. Developing compassion can help us navigate and heal relationships with our friends, families and communities and ourselves. At this workshop we will explore ways to understand and care for ourselves and others; access a deeper understanding of what we and others value and work towards shifting ways of thinking that aren’t serving us.
Based on Nonviolent Communication (NVC) developed by Marshall Rosenberg.
Where: Oakland, California
Facilitated By: Kangs Trevens and Paul Field
How Much: In an effort to make this work available to anyone and everyone interested we offer this workshop with no financial demand; if you are unable to offer something monetarily or you have other priorities for your finances we still want you to come. It also takes resources to support our lives and to continue to make our work available and we are open to financial gifts. If you can, please contribute $5 -$75 . It will not be tracked who gives what. There will be a box to put contributions in. Checks or cash will be welcome.
Paul Field is a graduate of the BayNVC Nonviolent Communication Leadership Program and has been studying and practicing NVC and related processes for over 7 years. He is a community mediator, facilitator and trainer and lives in England.
